BSB20115 Certificate II in Business
The Certificate II in Business is a nationally recognised qualification which is an excellent qualification for people who are joining or have recently started in the workforce.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of junior workplace roles. They can perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. Individuals in these roles generally work under direct supervision.
Typical Scouting pathway
Any member of Scouts Australia who has sufficent evidence can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The enrolment Process is outlined on the SAIT Qualifications page.
Experiences and learning received by Venturers across Australia, aligns closely to the requirements of Certificate II in Business. A typical pathway that enables collection of valid evidence is a Venturer;
- Actively participates in the Venturer Scout program
- Attends Venturer Scout, Environment, Unit Management, Initiative and First Aid courses
- Participates as a member of the Unit Council
- Acheives their Venturer Award including Expeditions
After completing your enrolment with the Scouts Australia Institute of Training (SAIT), a SAIT assessor will be assigned to you and they will assess your evidence. They may ask for further evidence or have a conversation with you to gather further information about your experiences.
Upon successfully completing your Recognition of Prior Learning assessment, you will receive a Certificate II in Business (BSB20115).
Structure of the Qualification
The Certificate II in Business that can be acheived by following the Scouting pathway of key achievements in the youth program. Either completion of Milestone 2 for Venturer Scouts or in the previous program your Venturer Award with the Expeditions elective, typically includes the following units of competency:
